The KES 1,000 Submission Fee: What It Covers and Why It Matters
Published 5 July 2026 by Wonderful Books Editorial
Every book submitted to Wonderful Books goes through a proper editorial review — not an algorithm. Here's what the KES 1,000 submission fee actually pays for, and why it protects both authors and readers.
Why We Charge a Submission Fee
Quality matters. On Wonderful Books, readers pay a subscription to access our library — and they deserve books that have been properly reviewed. The KES 1,000 editorial review fee covers the real cost of having a human editor read your manuscript and assess it for quality.
What the Review Covers
- Content quality: Is the writing clear, coherent, and engaging?
- Structural integrity: Does the book have a logical flow?
- Originality: Is the content original, not copied from other sources?
- Completeness: Is the manuscript actually finished?
How to Pay
The KES 1,000 fee is paid via M-Pesa when you submit your manuscript. It's a one-time fee per title — no annual renewals, no hidden charges.
